The Power of Positive Thinking!

I don't really want to write about myself and turn this into a diary, but I feel this is relevant, and I suppose will give an little insight into my life.
I have a 5 and a half month old baby, I work full time, and I have been a bit under the weather with a cold and sore throat. With one thing and another, family responsibilities etc, yesterday was the first time I had trained in 7 days! The urge to get back under the bar was killing me, and although I didn't really feel I had the energy due to losing my appetite over the past few days, I made my way to the gym.
I jumped into a set with two other lads (one of whom was my brother-in-law) who were just about to start in the rack, and warmed up. The target for the session was 5x5 squats with 127.5kg which would be another PB. Before my first set I had a word with myself and told myself I’d already achieved the weight; that I wasn't unwell, I was fit and strong, and this bar is going to be lifted!
I completed the 5 sets of 5 - it was a struggle, but I did it: last nights squats
Positive thinking and the will to succeed should never be underestimated!!
Mind over matter!
Go forth and lift
