Goals!

To have functional muscle and be healthy - that pretty much covers all bases in my opinion. To be able to lift heavy weight safely at a healthy body fat percentage should be everyone’s goal lol, and if I had my way it would be ;)
I have enjoyed the Christmas period, albeit a little too much, and with that in mind I have taken the opportunity to get involved in this year’s first ab challenge . This is essentially a self-motivating competition in which the entrant submits before and after photos at the beginning and end of January, and the best transformation wins - a brilliant and simple idea. I’m not going for a win as I want to retain strength and size, because my goals for this year with regards to competition (be it natural body building or natural power lifting) are still up in the air. Either way, it should be good to get back on track and shed some of that Christmas fat. I will be continuing with the same lifts, although I am going to start on the Wendler 531 programme (I will cover that tomorrow I think). I won’t be doing any crazy diets, just good clean food with sufficient calories to support my weight training. I may take a drop in calories on my non training day, which I wasn’t doing before Christmas, but I haven’t decided on that yet. I will post a link to my diet on here though for anyone who is interested.
I hope you all had a relaxed and enjoyable Christmas and New Year, and you are ready to tackle 2012 and whatever it throws at you.
Ben
