Lean muscle phase- progress

"Bulking"... "Cutting"... "Maintaining" - just to name a few of the terms we use when we embark on a new phase of training. I for one am embarking on a strength phase and want to achieve some big lifts before the year is out! I've been concentrating on lifting more as well as eating more, and for me the two go hand in hand. I've increased from 2000 kcal's up to 2800; I decided to do this by increasing by 200 kcal a week. This way I could monitor strength and fat gains and if need be reign it in a little. This has been working extremely well, I'm up to 2800 a week now, and do think I could handle 3000 (maybe even 3200) but though I have gained a little weight and increased size I'm still in the same size work trousers I was in over summer, so I don't see the point taking it much further until I plateau.

Lets have a look at the results-

65.8kg  2000-2200 kcals a day

Last week
68.3kg 2800 kcals a day

A picture does paint a thousand words, it was only when I looked at the pictures together I realised that the hard work had been paying off .

That's all for now

I'll post my training program soon
