Training Log 17/01/2013

Week 4 - Cycle 1 

First session of the week, I felt fresh but the weights seemed really heavy compared to last week. The factors that could have effected this are:
  • Last week I trained these movements on Tuesday after a relaxing weekend.
  • I didn't prep my food for a training day so I hadn't had any Carbohydrates until an hour before I trained. I usually would have had around 150-200g on a training day.
  • I didn't have my lucky T-Shirt on. 
  • I like a list with bullet points.

In all honesty I know that these things wouldn't have made much difference, I don't read into the odd session were I was found wanting...but it's always nice to have an excuse.

I was only out on my PB's by a few reps, here's how it went down.

Bench Press 
Working sets

5x80kg
3x90kg
1+ x 105kg  7 reps- estimated 1rm = 129.5kg

I ran out of steam, the first few reps flew up and down and I thought I'd get 9 reps at least. It wasn't a bad effort though.

Deadlift 
Working sets
5x110kg
3x125kg
1+ 140kg 7 reps - estimated 1rm = 172.5kg

I was reasonable happy with this, I was only 1 rep of equaling my last session, this was the same on the bench press- I think I may have been hard on myself last night. 

This is why it's such a good idea to write things down, everything becomes a lot clearer.
