Training Log 04/02/2013

Upper Body hypertrophy

I'm getting really excited about the progress I'm making on this training split, It's really spurned me on to train harder in the gym and to continue to track my macros.

Back

Deadlift
4x8 100kg - I opted for straight sets this week.

Bent over row
4x8 50kg - I went a little lighter than last week but concentrated on form and the tempo of the exercise.

Cable row
4x8 pin 8

Shrugs
4x8 70kg

Triceps

Triceps extensions
4x8 30kg

Cable push downs
4x8 pin 6 (drop set on the 4th set)

A lot of people train back and biceps and then chest and triceps, I've always done back and triceps and chest and biceps. I find when I train back I get some cross over into my biceps and when I have come to train biceps I can't lift as heavy for as long. The way my split is arranged I get to train the biceps and triceps fresh- nice and heavy for the required reps.
